Dealer Licensing

Requirements to obtain a license

Auto dealers in Texas must submit the finance contract they will be using as part of their licensing package. The dealership management software (DMS) must also be an approved OCCC vendor. It is therefore advisable to obtain a DMS who provides approved contracts as part of the application process. Cars*Plus can help. 

It is the jurisdiction of the Office of Consumer Credit Commission referred to as OCCC to oversee all auto dealer finance operations. They require financial contracts to be compliant with State and Federal guidelines.
